TrackGrip customers work all over the world. They run excavators and tracked machines on farms, construction sites, forestry blocks and mines. Every TrackGrip product starts in one place, though: Taranaki, on the west coast of New Zealand’s North Island.

A region built on engineering

Taranaki is home to a strong cluster of engineering and manufacturing businesses. The region has a long history of building, fabricating and maintaining equipment for demanding industries. That practical, hands-on capability shaped how TrackGrip was designed.

Our grips are made for people who work their sites hard and can’t afford downtime. That’s the kind of thinking you find across Taranaki’s engineering community. Build it properly, make it last, and make it work in real conditions.

Opening day at DIALOG Fitzroy

This week the team behind TrackGrip joined fellow Taranaki Alliance members at DIALOG Fitzroy in New Plymouth. We were there for the official opening of their new stainless steel fabrication shop, which was opened by New Zealand’s Prime Minister.

It was a great day for DIALOG Fitzroy and for the region. Investment in new facilities like this one shows confidence in Taranaki’s manufacturing future. It also adds to the capability the region can offer customers at home and overseas.

Congratulations to Kerry Williamson and the DIALOG Fitzroy team on a fantastic new facility, and thanks for having us.

What the Taranaki Alliance does

The Taranaki Alliance brings the region’s engineering and manufacturing businesses together. Working as a group, members can:

  • Take on bigger projects than any one business could handle alone.
  • Share capability, expertise and capacity across the region.
  • Show the world what Taranaki can do.

For TrackGrip, being part of this network means being connected to some of New Zealand’s most capable engineering and fabrication businesses.

From Taranaki to the world

TrackGrip was developed to solve a real problem: keeping tracked machines working safely on ice, rock, snow, mud and slopes. Today the range is used by customers in agriculture, construction, forestry and mining around the world, including our North American ambassadors at Hoffman Family Gold.

We’re proud that a product used on sites around the world is designed and built in Taranaki. Our patented design, high-tensile steel and focus on quality all come from a region that knows how to build things that last.
