This policy sets out how we (the Carac Group) will handle personal information we collect about you, including through the Carac website, onsite, and through phone, email, and other channels.

In this policy, Carac Group means Carac International Limited (NZ company no. 587774) and its subsidiaries and related companies, regardless of whether those other companies are incorporated in New Zealand or elsewhere.

In this policy, “personal information” has the meaning given to it in the Privacy Act 2020 (information about an identifiable individual).

1. Changes we can make to this policy
We can change this privacy policy at any time by publishing an updated version on the Carac website. By continuing to provide personal information, you indicate
acceptance of the latest policy.

2. Personal information we collect:
In operating this website we may collect and process the information about you, including:

a. details of your visit to our website and the websites you access, including the date, time and length of your visit, location data;

b. information you provide by filling in forms on our website or in person such as:
i. your name
ii. email address
iii. physical address
iv. telephone number
v. job title
vi. company name
vii. country
viii. state
ix. buyer category
x. payment details

c. any other information you provide when you communicate with us.

We may also collect from third parties that you have authorised, as or otherwise permitted by law.

We will generally use your personal information as set out above. We may also use personal information in other ways in aggregated and anonymised form.

4. Storage of personal information
We may record and store your personal information. We will effect and maintain security measures to safeguard your personal information from loss, misuse, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, in accordance with our obligations under the Privacy Act.

We cannot promise and we do not warrant or guarantee that your personal information will be safe from loss or unauthorised access, use, modification or disclosure,
either during transmission to or from our website, or when held by us.

We may store your personal information using a third party (including a third party located outside of New Zealand) and so your personal information may be held outside of New Zealand. We will take reasonable steps to ensure that such third parties are aware of our obligation to you and that any agreements we have with them will prohibit your personal information being used in a manner inconsistent with this privacy policy.

We will keep your personal information only for as long as it is required for the purposes for which the information may be lawfully used.

When we no longer need your personal information, we will take reasonable steps to securely destroy or delete personal information. Personal information may continue to be stored in a backup computer system and we may be required by law to retain certain personal information.

We may release personal information to third parties if instructed by you, and in other ways permitted by law.

We may from time to time transfer your personal information to third parties situated out of New Zealand. Where we do this, we will only do so in accordance with
our obligations under the Privacy Act.

6. Access and Correction of your personal information
We endeavour to keep your personal information complete, accurate and up to date. You have the rights under the Privacy Act to find out what information we hold about you, obtain a copy of that information and request the amendment of your personal information at any time.
