TrackGrip and Carac International Ltd (parent company) stands as a testament to quality and innovation, embodying the legacy of our founder, John Burling. Here, we delve into the engineering brilliance behind TrackGrip’s excavator track attachments and highlight the dedicated team driving our success.

The Genesis of TrackGrip: A Legacy of Innovation

The story of TrackGrip begins with John Burling, a former New Zealand motorcross champion who’s engineering talent began as a young boy fixing neighbour’s lawnmowers in his Dad’s shed. He was known to go above and beyond – not only returning them fixed, but with other useful modifications as a bonus to the clients.

His relentless drive and ingenuity led to the creation of Carac International Ltd in 1988, which has since become a leader in manufacturing and engineering solutions. Carac’s commitment to safety, quality, and innovation laid the foundation for TrackGrip’s success.

TrackGrip: Patented Solutions for Enhanced Safety and Productivity

TrackGrip, established in 2010, addresses the critical need for safety and efficiency in tracked vehicles. Our patented excavator track attachments have revolutionised the way operators navigate tough terrains, ensuring safety and improving productivity on-site.

Our products’ patented status underscores their unique design and functionality, reflecting TrackGrip’s commitment to innovation. These patents protect our cutting-edge technology and ensure that our customers benefit from exclusive, high-performance solutions.

John Burling’s vision for TrackGrip was driven by a personal accident, motivating him to develop a product that would mitigate such risks. This dedication to safety and innovation has garnered TrackGrip international acclaim, expanding our reach into global markets.

Engineering Excellence: Meet the Minds Behind TrackGrip

The success of TrackGrip is not just in its products but in the talented individuals who bring them to life. Much of John’s family is on the 40-odd staff, including his wife Yvonne as a director, daughters Sonia and Heather as CEO and financial officer respectively, and son Mark in operations. Our family owned and operated business acknowledges that the engineering team at Carac Group is the cornerstone of our innovation, including:

Pratik Bhavsar, our Senior Estimator/Design Engineer, plays a crucial role in managing and executing projects. With seven years at Carac, Pratik is involved in every step of the process, from initial design to final production. His enthusiasm for new challenges and diverse industries drives our continuous improvement and adaptation to market needs.

Phil Cave is another key member of our team, celebrating 30 years with Carac Group. Starting as a general labourer and evolving into an expert welder, Phil’s dedication and passion have significantly contributed to Carac’s advancements. His journey embodies the spirit of hard work and commitment that defines our company.
